Individual Players
What’s the best way to join a team?

To join a team you must first find a squad that is in need of a player.  The best way to do that is to contact an individual team and ask if they are looking for players.

Choose the skill level where you would be comfortable and then click on the individual team.  Once on the Team Page, if that team’s contact has chosen to make their info public, you may email them and start your search.

It is a good idea to include your age, gender (names aren’t always an indicator), experience, positions played, and anything else you would like a prospective team to know about you.

I found a team.  What do I do now?

You will need to submit a player waiver and obtain a player pass.  From the home page click on "Player Registration" and follow the four (4) easy steps.

How much does it cost to play?

The player fee is set by the individual team depending on the size of the team and/or individual team policies.  Cost will vary from team to team but a can range from $75 to $100 or more.

Where are the games played?

From the home page click on "Field Status and Directions" under "NVASA News" for a list of fields and directions.

Why haven’t I heard back from any of the teams I contacted?

This usually means that the team(s) are not in need of a player.  It is a good idea to try again later in the season.

Will the league keep my info on file?

Yes.  However, due to the large number of teams, the league does not know the particular needs of any team at any given time so quick placement by the league is unlikely.

When is it too late to join a team?

NVASA employs an open and rolling registration process so it is never too late as long as you are able to find a team in need.
